                                      <p>Due to the recent state budget holdback, effective November 1, iCONN will discontinue all   ProQuest newspapers except the Hartford Courant and the Historical Hartford   Courant.  All CT libraries will continue to have access to the New   York Times (1985 - present), Christian Science Monitor (1996 - present), and   London Times (7/1985 - present) through Academic OneFile.  In addition, we will continue to have access to   the Wall Street Journal through ABI Inform.&#160; Both databases are still provided by iCONN. &#160; </p>

Protect yourself -- borrow a laptop lock from the Circulation Desk in the library.  Just show your ID and the lock is yours for the next 24 hours.  They are so easy to use... and much easier than filling out a police report!

Wilson Omnifile journal database now allows you to listen to its full text articles in the html format.  To listen to an article, simply open the HTML version of the article, then click the &quot;Listen&quot; button near the top of the page.

The JStor journal database also allows listening to its full-text PDF articles.  Save the PDF file to your PC, open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader, and then from the Acrobat menu, click on View, Read Out Loud, Activate Read Out Loud.  Then click on View, Read Out Loud, and select either &quot;Read this Page Only&quot; or &quot;Read to End of Document.&quot;
